Teaching is central to my academic career. As an Instructor of Statistics in the Department of Mathematics at Columbus State Community College, I teach mathematics and statistics while fostering an engaging and supportive learning environment. My goal is to help students develop conceptual understanding, quantitative reasoning, and confidence in solving real-world problems using mathematics and statistics.
My teaching emphasizes active learning, structured problem solving, collaborative classroom engagement, and the thoughtful integration of technology. I regularly incorporate the R Software, Microsoft Excel, TI-84 Plus CE calculator, and Blackboard Ultra to support learning, while continually refining my courses through student feedback, reflective practice, and professional development.
